NWBOC Certification The National Women Business Owners Corporation (NWBOC) has led the way for women business owners to obtain WBE Certification. Created in 1995, NWBOC was established to increase competition for corporate and government contracts through implementation of a national certification program for women business owners. The development of our national Woman Business Enterprise (WBE) certification program, sponsored by IBM, involved cooperation and input from over 700 public and private sector individuals.

Supplier Clearinghouse

supplier-clearinghouse-logoThe Supplier Clearinghouse is a commission-supervised entity whose primary purpose is to audit and verify the status of woman and minority owned businesses, and to establish and maintain a database of woman, minority, and service disabled veteran owned businesses that is accessible to the California Public Utilities Commission and to participating utilities.

New York City School Construction Authority

New- York City School Construction AuthorityThe goal of the Business Development Division (BDD) is to recruit, develop and retain emerging minority-owned, woman-owned and locally based business enterprises. Entry into public sector work remains a challenge for MWLBE businesses. To reduce these barriers, BDD helps qualified MWLBE firms do business with the SCA. The Business Development Division recruits these firms via active outreach and participation in various minority trade shows, conferences and forums.

Empire State DevelopmentThe DMWBD to promotes equality of economic opportunities for for minority and woman owned business enterprises and eliminates barriers to their participation in state contracts. The DMWBD supplements New York State’s economic leadership with information and resources that increase access to information and opportunities for minority and women-owned businesses throughout the State.
